Gay Radio, Lesbian Radio

Index of where to find special sectionsrecent press coverageTribute to my late partner

"Queer Music Heritage" is both a radio show and a website, and the goal of both is to preserve and share the music of our culture, because I just don't think gay & lesbian music of the past should be forgotten. I also believe our music culture is a visual and an audial experience, so I try to share the images of this music...photos of the artists and recordings, and to pack in as much information as possible, while still trying to entertain.

Each month's page give the playlist and additional pages of information, and you can stream or download every show. And I love feedback and questions....:)

What's new on QMH? For August, exclusive Interview with Troy Walker, Plus "Songs I've Been Meaning To Play"

And.....you can search my site!
Type in an artist name or song title to see if I've featured it!

Please visit my new sections of QMH. For example, Gay Marriage Songs. And I've added a Features Index, showing what special segments are here...because this site is so "deep" you could easily miss something special. Also check out the expanded sections on Drag Artists, the Camp Records Label, and Gay Musicals. There's lots here, happy exploring!

Submissions? I play lots of new music on QMH and OutRadio, and I would love to have
yours. See my section on GLBT Music Radio Shows for my address and many others.

NOTES

What new on QMH? I'm always adding material to sections of the site associated with past shows, so I guess you'd never know about them unless I tell you, or if you've been googling...:) So, I'll give links to them here....this is material other than my current shows.

I've acquired the scrapbooks of Danny Brown,
Co-founder of the famed Jewel Box Revue
And Jewel Box Clubs in Tampa and Miami.
Glad to share a historic 200 scans from this

I've been asked to add a Donation Button to my site, and have agreed,
as with its huge sound files and countless graphics spread over about
1200 pages, well, it's an expensive site. If you're moved to help share
and preserve our culture's music I'd be much appreciative! - JD Doyle
