More Bert Savoy...

                       Information on Bert Savoy is VERY hard to find, so I'm sharing what I have...

This next scan, an obituary, came from a scrapbook I bought from F. Michael Moore,
author of "Drag! Male and Female Impersonators on Stage, Screen and
Television" (1994). It's a microfilm image, a negative, which I reversed,
and while it is very difficult to read I am sharing it anyway, as it is so rare.

Below, an original advertisement for Jay Brennan and Stanley Rogers

Jay Brennon was the "straight" man for Bert Savoy, famous female impersonator.

After Savoy's death, Mr. Brennon teamed with Rogers. Later he went to Hollywood to write screenplays.

The lifelong bachelor died in 1961
