QMH New Music Spotlights...

This section is as logical place on my site as any to also house some special interviews I've done for Queer Voices in the past. These are generally the live phone or in-studio interviews with a variety of artists.

In addition, my regular show, Queer Music Heritage, is heard monthly on Queer Voices on KPFT, on the 4th Monday of the month. But as that segment is more oriented toward the older music of our culture, I often do not get to feature as many new artists as I'd like. And there are plenty of very talented artists whose work deserve to be shared with our listeners.

So, in early 2003 I started producing special segments called New Music Spotlights, to air during Queer Voices, on nights other than when QMH is aired. They air at the programming discretion of the Queer Voices producers, as time permits, and my energy to produce them (in addition to my other shows) allows. And, of course they can always be heard on the Spotlight page.

The Spotlights will feature the latest CD by a single artist or group, and an interview where you'll hear them talk about the album and its songs and a little about themselves. Segments will last usually between 15 and 20 minutes, and will include plently of song clips. Enjoy! and please email me with any comments.
